Connecting with a Target Area
Once upon a time, people used to just approach Christians and ask, “What must I do to be saved?” If you’re counting on this strategy, you’re gonna be waiting a while.
Here are 5 lanes of connection you might have with your Target Area. You might implement more than one lane, too.
Connect by:
Belonging (member of the Greek house, team, Residence Hall, etc)
Serving (cleaning, giving a seminar, being their statistician, House Chaplain, etc)
Coming Alongside (Joint Program, Advocating, Attending Events)
Caring (Listening, Following Up, Befriending)
Asking (Surveys, Posters, Randoms, “Can I Share”, KV)
Connections give you relational capital from which to minister. They put you in position to ask good questions. They help you gain an audience when you’re sharing your faith.
